Hand-fasting is an alternative to marriage and is the ancient nature-related marriage ceremony with a spiritual tradition. It is becoming the common choice amongst modern couples. It involves a couple’s hands being placed together and bound by a ribbon or cord symbolising and confirming their union of love, acceptance and commitment to each other.

Hand-fasting is an alternative to marriage and is becoming the common choice amongst modern couples. It is the revival of an ancient spiritual tradition and natural ceremony of love. It is not weighed down by the heavy contract of marriage and vows but through a light filled binding of love that becomes gently fused when the tying of the cords is performed. The whole ceremony is dedicated to your love and the love you share with your family and friends. Each ceremony is uniquely created for you and no two ceremonies are the same. The main ceremonial words are channelled through from the heart from spirit to bless the couple and all those who have gathered. They are personal, genuine, deeply loving and graceful. It is light filled and joyous occasion that can be filled with dance, song, drumming, crystal bowls and poems from the heart.

THE CERAMONY

The handfasting takes place over a specially prepared sacred circle of blessed plants, flowers and special objects. These are personal to the couple, representing their love for each other and the people in their lives. The couple step into the centre of the sacred altar and are encircled by their loved ones who send their energy, love and positive intentions towards them.
The Ceremony takes the couple on a journey of connection into each other’s hearts and souls aligning them with their higher selves, the Divine and Mother Earth. The power of the elements are brought into the ceremony to bless and deepen the seal and the couples bond. The element of earth is used with a sacred object of choice such as a heart crystal, which is blessed and infused with their love. The element of fire is represented by a blessed candle that the couple light to ignite the flame of their love and passion. The element of air is represented by an object such as sacred sage infused with rose petals and used to clear and purify their past, making way for the brightest of futures.
The element of water or alternative liquid such as Full Power Cacao is blessed in a sacred chalice for the couple to drink from. This opens and connects their hearts and allows the liquid elixir to flow through their bodies so their lives together can flow with ease and grace and be filled with joy and abundance. The couple then exchange words, songs and poems to express their love for each other. That love is then sealed by the couple’s hands being placed together and bound by a ribbon or cord symbolising and confirming their union of love, acceptance and commitment to each other and words from the divine are channelled through. The whole focus is on the love of the couple and the love everyone present has for them. A Full Power Cacao Handfasting Ceremony is the divine alchemy of two age old traditions coming together to create a new magical and memorable experience. I team up with the Cacao God himself Liam Browne with his Ceremonial grade Full Power Cacao and his popular cacao ceremonies with over ten years’ experience. He also brings in the magic of dance, song and poetry sprinkled with fun, laughter, light heartedness and magic.
CACAO CERAMONY
The Ceremony takes the couple on a journey of connection into each other’s hearts and souls aligning them with their higher selves, the Divine, Mother Earth and Lady Cacao. During the ceremony the couple drink blessed Full Power Cacao from a sacred chalice. This opens and connects their hearts and allows the liquid elixir to flow through their bodies so their lives together can flow with ease and grace and be filled with joy and abundance. The whole Ceremony is filled with joy and laughter, shamanic drumming, harmonium, Kirtan, mantra and poetry to raise the vibration of the couple and the whole congregation. We then perform a personalised Cacao Ceremony which includes all the guests. The whole focus is on the love of the couple and the love everyone present has for them.
Each person speaks in turn from the heart to share their insights whilst seeing the couple in their highest light and highest potential. Magic and Lady Cacao are in the air as tears and laughter flow, more Cacao is served and people go deeper into their journey of expansion and deeper connection to the couple. There is then more singing and dancing and the heart continues to expand as we move the proceeding into an ecstatic dance. This gives everyone the opportunity to let loose and really celebrate the coming together of these wonderful souls. The FULL POWER CACAO Handfasting Ceremony expands the hearts of everyone present enabling each and every person in attendance to have a deeply and fulfilling day.
